About Me

Hi friend!  So nice to meet you.  My name is Betsy Curlin and I am a lifestyle photographer based in Jackson, TN.  I am a Colorado native and since marrying my husband, Caleb, I have added 7 states to the places I call home.  After Caleb served eight years in the military, we chose to pursue a quieter, more stationary life.  We have landed in Caleb’s hometown and live on 25 acres where our girls can run and play and explore.  I never thought I would live in the country, 25 minutes from anywhere, but it is growing on me.  I will say, being able to look out your window and only see trees and fields is good for the soul.

Photography has been a part of my story for 20 years, beginning in middle school in the tiniest darkroom imaginable.  I think I took pictures of very inconsequential things and wasted too much of my parents' money on film, but it was where I learned the basics and where the fan was flamed for this beautiful art.  Two decades in and I am still learning and growing.  That is the joy of art- there is no ceiling, no limit to what you can do.

My greatest honor is to be a small part in telling your story, right where you are.  It may be at the kitchen sink, or with a crying child, or maybe in a field of wildflowers, wherever you are, it is worth remembering.
